AMD and Bethesda have announced that Starfield, the upcoming open-world game, will be best experienced on a PC equipped with a Ryzen processor and Radeon graphics card. AMD has been named as the official graphics and GPU partner for the game, but Xbox Series hardware has also been mentioned. Todd Howard, director and executive producer at Bethesda Game Studios, revealed that AMD engineers are working on FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.0 image processing and upscaling, which will benefit both PC and Xbox players. Jack Huynh, Senior Vice President and General Manager of AMD's Computing and Graphics Group, added that the company has worked closely with Bethesda Game Studios to optimize Starfield for both Xbox and PC with Ryzen 7000 series processors and Radeon 7000 series graphics.
AMD is proud to be Bethesda's exclusive PC partner for Starfield, which is the first new universe in over 25 years from Bethesda Game Studios. The game is set in the year 2330, where humanity has ventured beyond our solar system and settled new planets. Players will join Constellation, the last group of space explorers seeking rare artifacts throughout the galaxy, and embark on an epic journey to answer humanity's greatest mystery. Starfield will be released in September, promising to deliver the most complete PC gaming experience in the galaxy.
